Packaged food major Haldiram’s has entered into a strategic partnership with global consumer-focused investment firm L Catterton to strengthen its market presence and accelerate growth, the companies announced.
While the official statement did not disclose the deal size or valuation, L Catterton— which manages about $39 billion in equity capital across private equity, credit and real estate— is understood to have acquired a minority stake in Haldiram’s.
With this investment, L Catterton becomes the fourth external investor in Haldiram’s. Existing institutional investors include Singapore-based Temasek, Alpha Wave Global, and the UAE’s International Holding Company (IHC). Haldiram Snacks Food Pvt. Ltd had announced its partnership with Temasek on March 30, 2025, following which the three investors together acquired around a 15 per cent stake in the company.
The latest partnership is expected to bolster Haldiram’s leadership in the Indian market while supporting its international expansion plans. The collaboration will draw on Haldiram’s strong brand equity and growth potential, alongside L Catterton’s experience in scaling consumer businesses globally.
“We are delighted to back Haldiram’s and drive further growth in India’s evolving consumer market,” said Sanjiv Mehta, Executive Chairman, L Catterton India.
Through the partnership, Haldiram’s will also gain access to L Catterton’s global operating expertise and industry network. The investment firm has previously backed several well-known consumer and packaged food brands, including Cholula Hot Sauce, Farmley and Ferrara Candy Company.
