Online travel platform EaseMyTrip intends to mobilise up to ₹500 crore in fresh capital to drive expansion in high-growth areas, especially hotels and holiday packages.
The company said its Board has, in principle, cleared a proposal to raise capital via equity shares and/or other permissible securities, pending required approvals.
The proposed fundraising could be carried out in one or multiple tranches through routes permitted under applicable laws, including a rights issue, qualified institutions placement (QIP), preferential allotment, private placement, or any other approved mechanism, subject to necessary regulatory and shareholder approvals.
EaseMyTrip informed that specifics such as the size, structure and timing of the proposed fundraising will be decided at a later stage, subject to applicable regulations and market dynamics.
The proposed capital raise is intended to support EaseMyTrip's expansion across high-potential segments, particularly in hotels and holidays, while also enabling continued investments in technology, platform enhancement, and strategic opportunities aligned with its long-term business priorities, it added.
The move is aimed at providing more flexibility to execute growth initiatives while maintaining a disciplined approach to capital allocation, the company said.
