Homegrown QSR chain Burger Singh has opened a new outlet in Darbhanga, strengthening its fast-growing presence in Bihar and signalling a renewed push into high-potential Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets.
The latest launch builds on the strong traction the company has seen across the state, where its India-inspired menu and affordable pricing have appealed to students, young professionals and families alike. Over the past few years, Burger Singh has expanded steadily across several Bihar towns, positioning itself as a dependable domestic alternative to international fast-food chains.
Darbhanga—one of the state’s most rapidly developing urban hubs—was a natural choice for the brand’s next outlet. The new store offers Burger Singh’s standardised nationwide menu, ensuring customers enjoy the same flavours and experience the chain is known for across India.
“Bihar has been an exciting market for us,” said Bhargav P V, Chief of Staff at Burger Singh. “Towns like Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur and Purnea have shown strong traction, and Tier 3 cities continue to present significant opportunity where organised QSR options remain limited. Our expansion here aligns with our broader vision of building a robust national footprint in high-opportunity regions.”
Burger Singh plans to deepen its presence in the state with 5–7 additional outlets slated for the next 12–18 months. Target cities include Patna (with further expansion planned), Bettiah, Saharsa, Begusarai and Samastipur—markets selected for their growing populations, rising disposable incomes and evolving food consumption patterns.
The company’s growth in Bihar is part of its nationwide scale-up driven through its Owner-Partner franchise model, which aims to empower local entrepreneurs in emerging markets with a lower-risk path to operating profitable QSR outlets.
With the Darbhanga outlet now open, Burger Singh reaffirms its commitment to delivering flavour-rich Indian burgers and expanding modern QSR access in some of India’s fastest-growing cities.
