Arushee Aggarwal has been named Chief Executive Officer of upGrad Enterprise, signalling a leadership transition at the corporate learning and workforce transformation division of upGrad.
Aggarwal announced the move in a public statement, saying she was “incredibly honoured and excited” to begin a new chapter as CEO of upGrad Enterprise. She also expressed gratitude to Ronnie Screwvala, founder and chairman of upGrad, for what she described as his ‘trust and opportunity’.
The appointment comes at a time when upGrad is scaling its enterprise-focused vertical, aiming to strengthen its position at the forefront of corporate skilling demand in India and global markets.
Aggarwal brings over a decade of experience across consulting, strategy, and edtech. Most recently, she led Coursera for Business in India, partnering with corporate leaders and CXOs to drive talent development and digital upskilling initiatives.
Before that, she spent over six years at Bain & Company as a senior manager, with experience across technology, digital and consumer practices, focusing on growth strategy and results delivery.
In her statement, Aggarwal said the new role connects closely with her career trajectory, from advising organisations on transformation at Bain to scaling enterprise learning offerings in India.
She added that her conviction has strengthened over time that “when learning is tightly aligned to business priorities, it becomes a superpower”.
upGrad Enterprise operates in a competitive corporate learning market that has seen rising demand from companies seeking to reskill workforces amid rapid technological change, automation and the growing adoption of artificial intelligence.
Aggarwal said she looks forward to partnering with enterprises to drive workforce transformation across India, the Middle East and other regions, helping organisations build “future-ready teams in a rapidly evolving market”.
She also credited Screwvala’s long-term commitment to education-led career building, calling him “a visionary entrepreneur” with “unwavering conviction in the power of education”.
