Amazon Surpasses $20 Billion in Indian E-Commerce Exports, Eyes $80 Billion Milestone by 2030
The company highlighted that Indian exporters have sold more than 75 crore ‘Made in India’ products to global customers over the past decade.

E-commerce giant Amazon has crossed a major milestone, recording over $20 billion in cumulative exports from India through its Global Selling program between 2015 and 2025. The company said it is now firmly on course to achieve $80 billion in exports by 2030, underscoring India’s growing prominence in global digital trade.

The announcement marks a significant acceleration in Amazon’s export journey from India. Originally, in 2020, the company pledged to enable $10 billion worth of exports by 2025—later doubling that goal to $20 billion. Amazon now says it has achieved this expanded target ahead of schedule.

“We have witnessed remarkable growth in India’s traditional export strengths such as health and personal care, beauty, toys, home, apparel, and furniture,” said Srinidhi Kalvapudi, Head of Amazon Global Selling India. “Our focus remains on building long-term capabilities that will continue to compound over time.”

Amazon emphasized that while external trade dynamics, such as tariffs in key markets like the U.S., remain beyond its control, it continues to focus on factors it can influence — technology innovation, seller enablement, and ecosystem partnerships.

The company highlighted that Indian exporters have sold more than 75 crore ‘Made in India’ products to global customers over the past decade. Its seller network has expanded by 33% in a year, now comprising over 200,000 entrepreneurs and small businesses from across 28 states, 7 Union Territories, and more than 200 cities.

States including Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Haryana have emerged as top contributors in Amazon’s export ecosystem. Categories such as health and personal care and beauty led with a 45% compound annual growth rate (CAGR), followed closely by toys (44%), home (39%), apparel (37%), and furniture (36%).

Through Amazon’s global marketplaces in the U.S., U.K., UAE, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Italy, France, and Spain, Indian sellers are reaching hundreds of millions of customers worldwide.

Kalvapudi added that Amazon’s continued investment in simplifying cross-border trade aligns with India’s national export ambitions, as the government aims to boost e-commerce exports to $200–300 billion by 2030.

“The momentum reflects both the ambition of Indian businesses and the rising role of e-commerce exports in global trade,” Kalvapudi said. “We remain committed to enabling India’s exporters to build global brands and take ‘Made in India’ products to the world.”
