Momoman was born on a delicious Satruday afternoon in April 2011. Even before we tossed our first wok, we had a quite a few hungry tummies at our door, and they haven’t stopped since!
The brainchild behind the restaurant a.k.a Mr. Momoman himself is self-proclaimed foodie and entrepreneur Ruchir Joshi. And it’s in his popular chain of unique health-food wagons ‘Healthy Che’ that Momoman finds its scrumptious beginnings.
A graduate from the Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA), ‘Healthy Che,’ was Ruchir Joshi’s maiden entrepreneurship incubation project.
Now, health and street-food generally don’t come together, but at ‘Healthy Che’, they do! Seeking to revolutionise laari (street) food in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Ruchir partnered with friend and fitness expert Deepak Patel. Here, the duo created a lip-smacking, quick-serve, healthy and hygienic brand which served everything from Indian, Italian and Mediterranean to Cantonese and Lebanese cuisine.
However, out of all the delightful bites on offer, the humble Tibetan Momo (dumpling) had customers craving, raving and salivating!
A quick-serve product that can contain umpteen fillings (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) to be consumed anytime, anywhere, the Momo caught onto Amdavadi taste buds like a house on fire! And that’s when Momoman came to be.
A casual dine-in restaurant, Momoman strives to serve its customers only the very best of pan-Asian cuisine in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. From the streets of Thailand or traditional recipes from the Royal kitchens of China, Momoman has been inspired by them all.
Our Minimalist, informal environment lets patrons breathe in delicious aromas while they relax, converse and indulge. Our delicious menu uses only the freshest local and Asian ingredients; yes, our coconut milk is made fresh, daily! Our other ticket to fame – our signature desserts – one bite of our piping hot Signature Chocolate Momos, oozing with chocolate and topped with vanilla ice-cream, yup, you’re hooked!
