Sumo Sushi Bento is a leading, Japanese, family dining franchise with nine restaurantsacross the UAE and Bahrain . In 2000 it was the UAEs first Japanese casual diningrestaurant, launched by four Dubai basedentrepreneurs.Today the four entrepreneurs are taking the Sumo Sushi Bento experience intoneighbouring GCC countries, South Asia and beyond.

From Family Business to Family Franchise

The first Sumo Sushi Bento was opened in 2000 on Dubais Sheikh Zayed Road. It wasfollowed four years later with the companys second restaurant opening in Dubai Internet. This was followed by a third outlet at Town Centre in Jumeirah in 2006.Sumo Sushi Bento became a franchise in 2007 and within 12monthssaw four newrestaurants open in Sharjah , Bahrain and two more in Dubai (Garhoud and Dubai HealthCare City ). 2011 would see the franchise enter Abu Dhabi (Masdar). In 2014 Sumo Sushi Bento would launch its first Sumo Express experience in Jumeirah Lakes Towers.Most recently Sumo Sushi Bento has opened in Murooj in Dubai, Ras Al Khaihmah, MotorCity and and has three further locations in Oman preparing to welcome their first customersthis year.Today, Sumo Sushi Bento offers restaurant dining , homedelivery, event cateringand the Sumo Express deli concept.

Kenji

Sumo Sushi Bentos mascot is Kenji, a friendly Japanese sumowrestler who was first seen as a mural on the walls of the companys first Sheikh Zayed Road branch, and still brings a smile to loyalcustomers region wide.

Kenji has offered a warm and cheery welcome tocustomers for many years and was joined in 2010 by the Kenji Kids hostsof Sumo Sushi Bentos Miso Cute Kids Club.Today Kenji and the Kenji Kids engage with Sumo Sushi Bento fansaround the world on Social Media.

For 15 years, Sumo Sushi Bento has paved the way in bringing convenience and fun into Japanese dining, by giving afun and healthy option for all sushi lovers.Designed by Sumo Sushi Bentos experienced chefs , its menu has been refined over theyears to cater to the tastes of the region and now includes some of the most creative andunique flavors in Japanese cuisine.Sumo Sushi Bento serves up a wide variety of dishes from the popular bento boxes,noodle dishes, and traditional sushi to the ever famous custom created Uramaki rolls, avariety of set menu options and combination specials.

Uniquely offered at Sumo is the appealing kids menu including fun and healthy optionssuch as chicken teriyaki and shrimp tempura for children.
