India is largely a country of 2-wheelers majorly classified as commuters and enthusiasts. Enthusiasts is the smaller fraction, comprising of riding hobbyists who are passionate about riding. Also with changing demography and technology enablers like maps and online riding forums more and more commuters are converting to enthusiasts.

At Bolt, our quest is to make products to enhance riding experience of these enthusiasts and enable more and more riders to follow their passion for riding.

Out first product is the Bolt Red Streak and Bolt Pocket, a 2A USB charger with a pouch to secure the phone on the bike along Bolt Riders App, to track your rides and create ride stories to share with co-riders and friends.

The idea behind the product is that with increasing adoption of smart phones and technology among riders there is a clear need for charger on the motorcycle. By providing a charger and a place to secure your phone on the bike we are opening the gateway for riders to leverage their phone and internet during their rides. Also for enthusiasts it is all about the rider, the bike and the ride/trip. By tracking rides and creating travelogues/ riding stories with minimal interaction from rider there is great value in giving the rider a record of his ride.

Bolt Red Streak is a 2A detachable charger designed to optimize on the bike battery usage and for external weather conditions. It has a smart load detection feature to draw power only when load is connected. The charging circuit also has auto short circuit cut off and auto thermal shut down features. We are also introducing a smart battery charge level detection module in the near future.

Bolt Riders App is a seamless tracker application to track rides with minimal interaction from rider even in no network areas. The App automatically detects pitstops and attaches images and comments to each pitstop. After the ride the rider will get a ride story which can be easily shared with friends. The App also stores back up of all rides recorded on the cloud. Going ahead the App will have features to enable riders to use technology to plan rides, connect with riders in a new location and be part of the local riding community.

Bolt Pocket is a tank top pouch to secure your phone while charging. It has a transparent touch sensitive interface to view the phone enabling navigation and other uses of technology while riding.
