GrapeFruit Technologies has launched an online platform, to enable women as entrepreneurs instead of simply being Home Makers. Found by three enthusiastic entrepreneurs, Ovenbell is Homemakers platform to offer the best and healthy home-cooked food daily to consumers.

The three founders of the platform Pratik Jain (co-founder and technology head), Ravi Arora (co-founder and operations head) and Sandeep Shah (co-founder and strategist) are not only techies but are also foodies. Their food and technology venture, GrapeFruit Technologies, under Ovenbell, has tried to bridge the gap between consumers seeking affordable home-cooked food and homemakers making healthy, guilt-free and customizable food.

Earlier, as a pilot, Ovenbell was launched as an online platform, 'Zayka' in September 2015 with an attempt to understand the market. It was found that there was a lot of scope of improvement in the processes. It has been rechristened and launched again with several modifications based on users feedback, mostly towards fulfillment processes. Also, instead of a pilot in two areas of Ahmedabad, today we are present in almost 41 localities in 8 zones.

At present, Ovenbell has 50 chefs making over 750 dishes with new chefs getting added by the day.Ovenbell offers varied cuisines. The online platform also offers Cakes, Pastries, Chocolates, and Snacks.

All Chefs arescanned thoroughly andaudit of their Kitchen is conducted anda test survey of their food is done. Once a positive review is received, FSSAI registration ensues. Along with this, the home chef is trained in best practices of cooking and operations training of uploading their dishes on Ovenbell, the online portal has created unique landing page for each chef from where they can control which dishes they would like to offer, at what price and on which day, in which meal slot. Nobody is forced to offer anything beyond her will. This way, the chefs take positive interest and love to cook for the consumer.

For the consumer, the process is an extremely quick, three-click process.Once an order is confirmed, Home Chef and Ovenbells logistics team receive text messages with full order details. Post this, it is the synchronization between Ovenbells trained Logistics team and the Chef that ensures that the food is delivered on or before time to the consumer in hygienically packed containers along with necessary accessories.
