On the 25th of February 2007, NIPS was awarded the Certificate of Honour , as ‘ One of the best 5 Educational Institutes of the Nation’, in the Hotel Management Category by ‘ Gurukuljyoti Award’ for Excellence in Education, 2006 . Awards and Accolades and quite a number of these have come in the way of NIPS since 1997, acknowledging their excellence in the various fields of Hotel and Hospitality Management studies. These however, have not made the Managing Committee of NIPS complacent. Rather, the accolades received have inspired NIPS to perform better, to reach new heights, to reach out to higher goals of excellence. During these years , besides the flagship Institution, ‘ NIPS School of Hotel Management’, The two other NIPS Group Institutions formed are ‘NIPS School of Management’ and the ‘ Vista Concord School of Management’. All the three professional study Institutes under the NIPS umbrella are pledged to augment the facilities and infrastructure continuously, to meet the ever changing challenges of the ever-growing sunshine industry, the hospitality and the tourism industry. All the course packages offered by the NIPS Group takes off from the learning of the rich Indian heritage and the Culture and are perfectly blended with the Western Hotel and Hospitality Management education system. The Infrastructure Campus: NIPS presently have two campus , one at Mahishbathan, Sector V, salt Lake City , Kolkata and the other at EC-98 Sector I, Salt Lake City, Kolkata. A third campus at Sovabajar is expected to open its doors in 2012. A Luxury Hotel is also being planned in the vicinity of the Mahisbathan Campus. With its proximity to the Airport, this hotel is aimed at providing a comfortable stay to both domestic and international guests and a quality industry experience to the Hotel Management students. Facilities: NIPS offers state–of–art facilities for the management and IT studies like spacious classrooms , conference halls, well equipped e – library, IT resource centres . NIPS also offers best of the region facilities for the hotel management studies. Besides spacious classrooms , conference halls, well equipped e – library, IT resource centres , the food and beverage production lab with three modern kitchens, bakery and confectionary unit, specialty restaurants, coffee shops, furnished AC deluxe rooms, front office labs and laundry are integral part of the infrastructure to train and import hands on skills in specific area of service.
