More and more startups are getting on to use alternative media like twitter, facebook and the likes. However in this media galore it is very important to decide upon the right medium for the particular kind of product and for the specific set of customers.

  1. Have a clear set of goals and objectives for your marketing campaign
  2. Define your market in terms of geography, culture, demographic cues
  3. Understand your customer inside out in terms of problems, likes, dislikes, preferences, etc.
  4. Address their needs not only through what you say but also through what you do.
