In today’s meeting, the Board of Safari Industries has approved capital expenditure of upto ₹170 crore for the Company and upto ₹60 crore for its wholly owned subsidiary - Safari Manufacturing Limited, towards improvement of infrastructure, land acquisition for new warehouse and installation of plant & machinery.

Once the capacity expansion is completed, the combined production capacity from all units will rise to approximately 18 lacs pieces per month.

This will be instrumental in leading the premiumisation drive of Safari Industries and support its long-term growth ambitions. This also reflects Safari's commitment to strengthening India's domestic manufacturing capabilities in line with the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat.

Sudhir Jatia, Chairman & Managing Director of Safari Industries (India) Limited, said: “The industry has gone through an advancement wherein today, luggage has evolved beyond its functional necessity to being an extension of the traveller’s lifestyle. We are building a business that can grow not just larger, but stronger and more valuable over the long term. We are investing today to build the capabilities that will define our next phase of growth.”

Premiumisation is central to this strategy, with Safari's multi-brand portfolio spanning Safari, Urban Jungle, Safari Select and Carlton serving diverse consumer segments, price points and travel needs. By strengthening each brand's proposition and investing in product innovation and differentiation, the company aims to capture evolving consumer preferences, improve product mix and create greater value across its portfolio.
