Marking a major milestone in the electric mobility sector, Kinetic Watts and Volts has inaugurated its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Ahilya Nagar, Maharashtra. Spanning 87,000 square feet, the plant is equipped with automation and robotics-driven assembly lines, specifically designed for electric vehicle (EV) production.
This facility will serve as the central production hub for Kinetic’s EV solutions, targeting both personal commuting and fleet operations. The company also announced plans to explore export opportunities as part of its broader growth strategy.
During the inauguration ceremony, Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman of Kinetic Group, stated, “This facility symbolizes our commitment to shaping the future of mobility through manufacturing excellence.” The plant's digitalized operations are designed to provide flexibility and high efficiency to meet evolving market demands.
Kinetic Watts and Volts was established in September 2022 as the EV division of the Kinetic Group, a company with over five decades of experience in India’s automotive industry. The group earned national recognition with iconic models like Kinetic DX and Kinetic Luna, which became household names in urban mobility.
Founded by H.K. Firodia and currently led by Arun Firodia, the group’s flagship company, Kinetic Engineering Limited, is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange under the symbol 500240.
The launch of this EV facility aligns with the Indian government's push to accelerate electric vehicle adoption and reduce transportation-related emissions. The plant’s sustainability practices are built to support these environmental goals while laying the groundwork for scalable and future-ready production.
With this new venture, Kinetic is poised to contribute significantly to India’s transition toward green mobility and innovation-driven manufacturing.
