Ex-Bata India CEO Gunjan Shah Joins JK Paper as President

JK Paper has named Gunjan Shah as President – Paper, adding a seasoned consumer-industry leader to its senior management team. Shah joins from Bata India, where he was Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. At the footwear major, he led the company’s India business and helped drive its growth in a highly competitive retail market.

Shah joined Bata India in 2021 from Britannia Industries, where he was Chief Commercial Officer and oversaw commercial strategy, sales and business development. He has also worked with Asian Paints. His career spans FMCG, footwear, consumer durables and telecommunications.

Shah holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computers from the Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), Mumbai, and a postgraduate diploma in management from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta.

The appointment brings cross-sector experience to JK Paper’s leadership at a time when the company is working to strengthen its operations and pursue new growth opportunities.
