In a strategic move to meet the rising demand for instant gratification in online shopping, omnichannel jewellery brand CaratLane has rolled out its own quick commerce service, offering same-day delivery within 4 to 6 hours. The brand confirmed the latest development to Franchise India and is currently running a pilot in Gurgaon, with expansion plans underway for Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
This initiative marks a significant shift in how fine jewellery is delivered, positioning CaratLane among the first in its category to embrace quick commerce. By tapping into its in-house logistics and digital infrastructure, the company aims to serve high-density urban PIN codes with unprecedented speed.
“Quick commerce has defied expectations across categories,” said Saumen Bhaumik, Managing Director at CaratLane as per industry reports. “We’re now bringing that convenience to jewellery—an area where speed hasn’t traditionally been a focus.”
To power this rapid delivery model, CaratLane has been heavily investing in backend automation. About 40% of its operations now run on a unified low-code platform, streamlining everything from warehouse management to post-order service. This tech-driven approach allows the brand to maintain accuracy and efficiency while scaling faster.
The quick commerce push comes on the heels of CaratLane’s broader growth strategy, including the launch of a new 9-carat jewellery collection aimed at offering more affordable options without compromising on design.
As customer expectations around convenience continue to rise, CaratLane’s quick commerce play could redefine the jewellery retail experience. If the pilot proves successful, the brand is likely to replicate the model in other metro cities, turning last-minute jewellery purchases from a hassle into a luxury experience delivered within hours.
