The Bharat Mobility Global Expo, which had transitioned into an annual event in 2024, will now return to a biennial (every two years) format. The next edition is tentatively scheduled to be held from February 4 to 9, 2027, across multiple locations in the Delhi-NCR region.
This strategic shift is aimed at giving stakeholders ample time to develop and showcase next-generation mobility solutions. Organizers are also planning to expand the scope of the upcoming expo by encouraging international collaborations and covering all aspects of the mobility ecosystem.
The 2027 edition will likely follow the format of 2025, taking place across three major venues — Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, Yashobhoomi in Dwarka, and India Expo Centre & Mart in Greater Noida.
Industry experts view the biennial schedule as a smart move that will offer greater value to both participants and visitors. Given the fast-paced changes in the automotive landscape, hosting the expo every two years allows for more meaningful innovation and cost-efficiency.
While global motor shows are losing relevance — with events like the Frankfurt Motor Show, Geneva International Motor Show, and Detroit Auto Show being scaled down or reimagined — India had gone against the tide with an annual expo, showcasing its growing importance in the global mobility market.
India has already surpassed Japan to become the world’s third-largest car market and remains among the top five globally for tractors, two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and commercial vehicles.
The recently held Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 (January 17–22) was a massive success, attracting nearly one million visitors, over 1,500 exhibitors, and featuring 239 product launches. The event focused on electric vehicles, sustainable mobility, and smart transportation solutions.
