UNIQLO Expands Bengaluru Presence with New Mall of Asia Store
The upcoming outlet will be UNIQLO’s 18th store in India, following a strong customer response to its first Bengaluru location.

Japanese global apparel retailer UNIQLO has announced plans to open its second store in Bengaluru at Phoenix Mall of Asia in March 2026, marking another step in the brand’s steady expansion across South India. The upcoming outlet will be UNIQLO’s 18th store in India, following a strong customer response to its first Bengaluru location.

The new store reflects UNIQLO’s strategy to deepen its physical retail presence in key metropolitan markets while improving access to its LifeWear range for Indian consumers. Bengaluru has emerged as an important growth market for the brand, driven by demand for functional, everyday apparel suited to the city’s fast-paced urban lifestyle.

Commenting on the expansion, Kenji Inoue, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, UNIQLO India, said the response to the brand’s debut store in the city exceeded expectations. He noted that Bengaluru’s evolving lifestyle aligns closely with UNIQLO’s focus on simplicity and functionality, and the new store will help introduce the brand to new customers while enhancing accessibility for existing ones.

Spanning approximately 17,000 sq ft, the Mall of Asia outlet will be nearly double the size of UNIQLO’s first Bengaluru store. It will house the brand’s complete LifeWear range across men’s, women’s, and children’s categories, with the larger format designed to support an expanded assortment and improved in-store navigation.

The store façade will feature UNIQLO’s signature cube sign, in line with the brand’s global design standards, reinforcing a consistent visual identity across international markets.

Ahead of the launch, UNIQLO will set up an experience zone at Phoenix Mall of Asia from 12 February to 5 March 2026, offering customers a preview of key product categories and engaging them prior to the formal opening. The initiative is part of the brand’s broader effort to build awareness and strengthen customer connections ahead of new store launches.

UNIQLO entered India with a focus on delivering high-quality, functional apparel for everyday use and has steadily expanded its offline presence across major cities through large-format stores and a standardised retail experience. The Bengaluru expansion comes as apparel retailers increasingly prioritise high-footfall malls and metro markets to drive offline growth.

With the addition of its second store in the city, UNIQLO aims to further strengthen its presence in one of India’s most dynamic urban centres. Additional details, including the confirmed opening date and launch-related activities, are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
