Social has reopened its Palladium outlet at Gourmet Village in Phoenix Palladium with a refreshed, design-led concept inspired by IKEA-style living spaces. The revamped format reimagines the café-bar experience through interconnected, home-like zones that blend comfort, community and functional design for urban consumers.
The new outlet introduces a layout modelled on different parts of a home, including living rooms, kitchen-style setups, dining corners and bunk-bed-inspired seating areas, creating an immersive and playful hospitality environment.
The redesign reflects evolving urban lifestyles, where cafés and social spaces are increasingly serving as extensions of home for millennial and Gen Z audiences. Social said the concept integrates dining, work, leisure and social interaction within a single flexible space.
The reopening also marks the outlet’s relocation within Phoenix Palladium to Gourmet Village, the mall’s design-focused dining destination. The brand added that the new space is aimed at a broad audience including shoppers, officegoers, families and young consumers seeking versatile hangout formats.
Commenting on the newly designed outpost, Riyaaz Amlani, Founder and Managing Director, Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., said, “At SOCIAL, we have always believed that the best spaces are the ones people can make their own. IKEA has changed how people imagine everyday living by making design feel accessible, functional, and full of possibility. With Palladium SOCIAL, we were inspired by that familiar world of rooms, catalogues, and lived-in settings, and reinterpreted it through the SOCIAL lens. The idea was not to create a formal dining environment, but a place that feels intuitive, democratic, and alive.”
Patrik Antoni, CEO, IKEA India, further shares, “At IKEA, we have always believed that good design should be experienced, not just seen. Palladium SOCIAL is a playful expression of that idea- a space that feels open, relaxed, social, and full of personality. It reflects how younger urban India is increasingly blending home, work, leisure, and community into one fluid way of living. For us, this is an exciting example of how IKEA solutions can help brands create immersive, culture-led experiences that go far beyond traditional spaces.”
“We are delighted to welcome SOCIAL to Gourmet Village at Phoenix Palladium, a move that further strengthens our vision of building one of Mumbai’s most progressive and culturally relevant dining destinations. SOCIAL has been an intrinsic part of the Palladium experience over the years, consistently resonating with the city’s evolving social and dining culture. Its transition into Gourmet Village represents a natural next chapter in that journey, bringing together a brand with strong cultural recall and a destination designed to champion next-generation food and lifestyle experiences,” said Varun Chhibber, CEO: Hotels & President: Malls, The Phoenix Mills Ltd.
With this revamped outlet, Social is reinforcing its positioning as a community-led café-bar brand that offers inclusive, design-driven social spaces across urban India.
The concept continues to focus on creating accessible environments where dining, work and leisure seamlessly come together, catering to the evolving lifestyles of young, urban consumers.
