Expanding its fashion portfolio, Fabindia has unveiled Fabels, a premium western wear sub-brand that blends contemporary global styles with the brand's signature Indian craftsmanship. The launch marks Fabindia's entry into the premium western wear segment as it looks to cater to consumers seeking internationally inspired fashion with an artisanal touch.
Designed for the "Global Traveller with an Indian Soul," Fabels combines modern silhouettes with handcrafted detailing that reflects Fabindia's design heritage. The inaugural collection features men's and women's apparel across casual, business casual, and occasion wear categories, with a focus on natural fabrics, artisanal textures, and timeless aesthetics.
A Fabindia spokesperson said, "Fabels speaks directly to the global citizen who craves the precision of modern craftmanship alongside the rich stories of Indian artisans. This sub-brand bridges the gap between global aesthetics and traditional artistry, creating pieces that are built to be lived in."
The inaugural Fabels collection offers a wide selection of contemporary apparel for both women and men. The women's range includes dresses, tops, shirts, camisoles, meditation pants, avenue pants, and structured linen trousers, while the men's collection comprises straight- and slim-fit shirts, Cuban shirts, drawstring pants, layering jackets, and twill shorts.
The apparel line is complemented by accessories such as silver jewellery, jute tote bags, leather sling bags, footwear, and handcrafted silk stoles. Several pieces showcase traditional Indian textile techniques and craftsmanship, including Ajrakh, Indigo, Dabu printing, and Dori hand embroidery.
Fabels currently operates standalone stores across Delhi NCR, with selected collections also available through Fabindia Experience Centres nationwide.
Established in 1960, Fabindia has built a retail network of over 340 stores across 127 Indian cities and 13 international outlets spanning seven countries. In addition to apparel, the company offers jewellery, footwear, home furnishings, furniture, organic food, and personal care products, while continuing to collaborate with thousands of rural artisans and craft producers across India.
