Cantabil Retail India Limited is targeting a turnover of Rs 1,000 crore in the current financial year, building on a record FY26 and a firm start to FY27. The company closed FY26 with revenue of Rs 852.6 crore, up 18 percent year on year, and has followed it up with continued momentum in the June quarter.
Revenue from operations for Q1 FY27 grew 13 percent to Rs 178.8 crore, while EBITDA rose 21 percent to Rs 59.4 crore, taking the EBITDA margin to 33.2 percent from 30.8 percent a year earlier. PAT for the quarter grew 11 percent to Rs 16.3 crore. Same-store sales growth stood at 4.04 percent for the quarter, and the company has delivered a five-year revenue CAGR of 22 percent and a PAT CAGR of 26 percent.
The growth is being driven in part by a shift toward larger store formats. Cantabil recently opened its largest store to date in Delhi's Karol Bagh, spread across 8,000 square feet, more than double its previous largest outlet. The company now operates 667 stores across 9.42 lakh square feet of retail area and plans to add 80 new stores this financial year, largely across tier 1 and tier 2 towns where it intends to roll out more large-format outlets.
Commenting on the company's growth trajectory, Deepak Bansal, Whole-Time Director, Cantabil Retail India Limited, said, “Crossing Rs 1,000 crore in turnover this year would be a significant milestone for us and a validation of the strategy we have followed over the last few years. Our move into larger store formats, especially in tier 1 and tier 2 towns, is already showing encouraging results, and we intend to build on this momentum as we prepare to enter South India in the next financial year.”
Beyond its core menswear business, which continues to anchor sales through shirts, trousers, and denim, Cantabil has been scaling footwear, accessories, and its online channel, alongside a widening women's and kids' portfolio of around 67 exclusive running stores.
Looking ahead, Cantabil plans to enter South India over the next few year. The brand is also recalibrating its product mix for younger shoppers, introducing more stretchable and wrinkle-resistant fabrics, bolder prints and casual silhouettes aimed at Gen Z consumers.
