How did you develop Smart School as a leading e-Learning Company? How does the brand offer a smarter way to study?
We are an e-learning company and primarily cater to K-12 segment. Developing as a K-12 brand was a gradual process as we promoted ourselves from selling just NCERT-solved solutions of a particular class to a huge basket of K-12 products right from standard k to 12.

We have over 50,000 modules, comprising animated modules, quizzes, key-points and NCERT books. All these modules are strictly mapped as per school curriculum, hence relevant to any school-going student.

Studying through animated modules helps kids in better visualisation and as a result, they are able to remember the concept for a longer period of time. Hence, it becomes a smarter and effective form of learning at Smart School.

We are among the leading Indian e-Learning companies. We have recently been awarded with CBSE approval for our K-12, which itself is a testimonial for our products’ quality and acceptance.

In addition, we have procured international e-Learning K-12 projects from leading schools across the globe.

How did you take the franchise road for your brand?
To make our products accessible to a huge target audience, opting for the franchise way was a natural choice. We strongly believe that our product USPs along with our robust support and training provide a conducive business opportunity to any entrepreneur, who wishes to start a business in K-12 education.

What kind of training is offered by you to the franchisees?
We are very focused on the training part and have an extensive in-office or online training for the franchisees. During training, every possible detail of the product is explained together with complete sales training.

Every franchise center-seeker is screened before he/she is inducted in our system, and is given a go-ahead only after he/she is successful in undergoing the training process.

What ensures a good future for prospective franchisees in the sector?

Apart from being recession-proof, the education sector is one of the largest sectors in terms of market size and people involved. India has over 30 crore K-12 students, who in turn can be our target audience.

Since e-Learning concept is new with very few companies into it, we have a huge opportunity to capture the market.

How do you select a franchisee? What qualities should he possess to be your partner?
We are very particular while selecting the franchisee. Since the franchise investment is not very high and the product being attractive, many people look to associate with us. However, we look for passionate and energetic entrepreneurs, who could share our vision for education.

Where in the nation are you further planning to expand via the franchise path?
Our products are mass products, thus, we are looking for pan-India distributorship. Currently, we have more than 100 distributors, working across India.
