The chief of the US –India council (USIBC) says that the commercial ties between India and the US are better and the two countries expect it to further grow steadily.
The US-IBC chief says that the investment graph has shown a consistent upward movement in recent times.
The huge shipments by the Indian SMEs to the US in various sectors like gem and jewelry, textiles manufacturing and agriculture has made India emerge as the prominent trade partner of the USA. A number of small and mid-sized Indian IT firms have their business in the US or many of them serve as back-end offices and outsourcing partners of prominent American Giants.
The signing of trade treaties and agreements between India and the US over the few years have opened up new avenues for Indian SMEs in areas of science and technology, telecommunications, electrical equipment, food processing and energy.
