Create viral buzz using social media

 

Social media provides a great opportunity for entrepreneurs and marketing professionals to communicate their brand message and build good reputation by creating a viral buzz, said Rajesh Lalwani, Managing Director, Scenario Consulting Private Limited, at a workshop organised by the Delhi chapter of TiE on Friday.

 

The workshop which was organised in association with Blogworks was on Communication and Social Media Marketing and was attended by entrepreneurs, marketing professionals and others interested in communicating through social media.

 

Talking about the rise of social media in the present times Mr Lalwani said, “While previously mainstream media was the first to disseminate news, the trend has undergone some change. News first spreads via social media and is then picked up by the mainstream media.”

 

The one day workshop discussed the scope of marketing through social networking sites in detail. The speaker gave tips on how to leverage social networking sites to create a viral buzz and get into the timeline of its followers or fans. “When a person sees a brand or company in the timeline of their friends, their intend to purchase the product or service of that brand increases. This is what a company engaged in social media communication has to aim at,” said Rajesh.
