Mehidpurwala Furniture a name in the furniture industry since 1885. The firm was started as TMH Mehidpurwala that has now grown into Mehidpurwala Funishers Pvt.Ltd. When instated in 1885 the firm had the 1st and the largest iron and steel fabrication factory in whole of Holkar estate. Initial product offerings included land & soil movement equipment along with metal chests and wardrobes. Redefinition of the brand as a whole sole furniture manufacturer and reseller was done by “Sheikh Haider Husain Babu Mehidpurwala” who with his unique charisma and peoples skills cemented the brand as a formidable business in the field of home and office furniture. In the 1980s his 2 young and enthusiastic pair of sons Safiee Raja and Yunus Raja joined the business. They having a legacy of furniture manufacturing in their blood coupled with their unique business sense and zeal for identifying opportunities elevated the brand to a whole new level. The pair in 1985 envisioned a 5 star hoteling project in Indore, MP. In 1986 the project was on ground as Nurjahan Hotel Pvt.Ltd. The project took 4 years to complete and was the largest Hoteling project ever conceived at the time. The brothers foreseeing more scope in the furniture industry than the hoteling industry at the time ran the hotel for complete 2 years before it was sold to the TATA group as “TAJ Residency Indore” in 1992. (Now resold in 1999 to the Fortune Group and know as “Fortune Landmark”) This was a turning point in the history of Mehidpurwala. For the next 6 years the brand grew and made goodwill for itself that is not touched by anyone in the Industry to this date. In 1998 Mehidpurwala grew its Retail operations in Indore by instating a brand new showroom at the soon to become commercial heart of the city “Palasia”. (The square at which the showroom was made came to be known as “Mehidpurwala Corner”) This showroom was the first of its kind in the furniture industry. Including the many firsts that were attained here are the facts that it was the 1st furniture retail showroom in MP (Including CG at that time) which spanned over 10,000 sq.ft of area ; it was the only name in organised furniture industry in MP ; it made Mehidpurwala the 1st furniture brand to provide not only the product but also the services behind the product that we are so famous for today ; it also made Mehidpurwala the 1st furniture brand to step into bulk readymade furniture retail.

The brand name of Mehidpurwala grew from there to new heights, as the brand which truly believed in customer Delight.

Not resting with our laurels Mehidpurwala again geared up for yet another audacity by conceiving the largest furniture only showroom in South-East Asia. This project was instated in the year 2005 and was completed in a record time of 1 year. The only showroom of its kind it made Mehidpurwala a unique entity in it own. The showroom erected at Ring Road was the 1st large-scale business premise of its kind in the area. Spanning over 1 lkh sq.ft. The showroom houses a live display of more than 250+ sofa sets, 150+ dinning sets, 55+ bedroom sets, 50+ beds, 60+ wardrobes, 70+ TV cabinets and 1000s of allied furniture products.

After successfully operating for more than 131 years in Indore, Mehidpurwala is now expanding at a rapid scale to other cities. As a part of this expansion plan we have launched our 1st outstation showroom at Bhopal. Located at C21 mall, Hoshangabad Road. Made like no other mall that has been built in central India, C21 mall Bhopal is a feat in its own. A mammoth mall made on approx. 9 acres of land. It has floor plates of larger than 1,80,000 sq.ft.

Following our well established and time proven format of large-scale interior displays, we have acquired a space spanning over 65,000 sq.ft. On the Ground and the lower ground floors of C21 mall Bhopal. The showroom houses a similar arsenal of goods as displayed in our flagship store in Indore.

As it is a trend and believe of Mehidpurwala to one better ourselves in all our new endeavours, we have now acquired land for another retail prospect in the fast upcoming and booming city of Raipur. The showroom in Raipur will be approx. 1,40,000 sq.ft. when finished and would hence hold when finished the record of being the largest furniture only showroom of its kind in India.
