Swiggy has elevated Himavant Kurnala, Nitesh Garg and Saurav Goyal to key leadership roles across Instamart and its Food Marketplace business, as the company sharpens its focus on growth, technology and operational execution.
Swiggy has announced a leadership reshuffle, appointing Himavant Kurnala as Chief Growth and Product Officer for Instamart, Nitesh Garg as Chief Technology Officer for Instamart, and Saurav Goyal as Chief Operating Officer for its Food Marketplace business.
The internal elevations come as the company continues to scale its quick commerce and food delivery operations.
Commenting on the appointments, Girish Menon, CHRO, Swiggy, said the company has consistently focused on developing internal talent and giving leaders opportunities to take on larger responsibilities.
Kurnala appointed as CGPO for Instamart
Himavant Kurnala, who has led Instamart's product organisation since 2024 and later took charge of growth and brand marketing, will now oversee Product, Growth, Marketing and Analytics.
Swiggy said Kurnala played a key role in building Instamart into an AI native product organisation and led initiatives including Maxxsaver, multi pod delivery, the standalone Instamart app, AI powered search and personalisation, and supply chain optimisation.
Garg Takes Over as Instamart CTO
Nitesh Garg, who has been with Swiggy for more than seven years, has been elevated from Senior Vice President to Chief Technology Officer of Instamart.
He has led Instamart's engineering organisation since its inception and has helped build technology platforms across advertising, pricing, discounting and product catalogue systems, besides overseeing technology architecture and AI driven capabilities.
Goyal Named Food Marketplace COO
Saurav Goyal, who joined Swiggy in 2020, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Food Marketplace business.
His experience spans finance, strategic planning, driver and delivery operations, and profitability initiatives across Swiggy's businesses. As COO, he will continue to lead Driver and Delivery operations while also taking responsibility for Food Customer Experience.
The appointments are part of a broader leadership evolution at Swiggy, following recent changes including Nandita Sinha's appointment as CEO of Instamart and Gautam Swaroop as its Chief Business Officer.
With Instamart now operating in 131 cities and Swiggy Food serving customers across more than 720 cities through over 270,000 restaurant partners, the latest leadership changes underline the company's focus on strengthening its capabilities in product, technology and operations for its next phase of growth.
