Oben Electric is set to launch the updated version of its Rorr EZ electric motorcycle on August 5, 2025. Bookings will open the same day, and the company will begin deliveries from August 15. The new model features enhanced battery technology and rider-focused upgrades.
The next-generation Rorr EZ retains its commuter-friendly design while incorporating advanced technology and performance enhancements. It continues to use Oben’s Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery technology, which offers better heat resistance and a longer lifespan compared to other battery types.
The original Rorr EZ, launched in November 2024, offers a range of up to 175 kilometers on a single charge (as per IDC standards). It can charge to 80% in just 45 minutes and has a top speed of 95 km/h, making it a practical option for daily commuters.
Founded in 2020, Oben Electric focuses on developing performance-oriented electric motorcycles in India. The company holds over 25 technology patents and develops its battery systems and other components in-house, enabling better customization for Indian road and climate conditions.
While electric scooters dominate the Indian EV market, the adoption of electric motorcycles remains limited. Oben aims to address these challenges through technological innovations and targeted marketing strategies tailored to specific rider segments.
The updated Rorr EZ reflects the company’s effort to improve its initial offering based on market feedback and technological advancements. However, Oben has not yet revealed detailed specifications or the price of the new model ahead of the launch.
