
In a major push for industrial growth, the Madhya Pradesh government has approved the MSME Development Policy-2025, offering substantial incentives to micro, small, and medium enterprises. The policy provides investment promotion assistance of up to 40%, with enhanced support of 48% for SC/ST and women entrepreneurs.
MSMEs in backward development blocks can receive assistance of up to ₹1.3 crore. For export-oriented MSMEs, the policy includes 52% investment assistance on freight, capped at ₹2 crore, along with ₹50 lakh for export certification support. Employment generation incentives offer ₹5,000 per month per employee for medium-sized units, applicable for up to five years, if they create more than 100 jobs. Additionally, ₹13,000 per worker is allocated for skill development training, with special support for MSMEs manufacturing medical equipment and footwear.
To boost the start-up ecosystem, the state introduced the Madhya Pradesh Start-up Policy and Implementation Scheme-2025, aiming to double the number of start-ups from 5,000 to 10,000 within five years. The policy provides financial and non-financial support to start-ups and incubators.
A flagship mega incubation center will be set up through a public-private partnership with leading institutions, alongside satellite incubation centers across the state, solidifying MP’s position as a hub for entrepreneurship and innovation.
