MG Windsor Records Highest-Ever Monthly Sales of 4,308 Units in July 2025
MG Windsor achieved record sales of 4,308 units in July 2025, maintaining its No.1 position in India’s four-wheeler EV segment for the 10th consecutive month. The model now holds a 32% EV market share and has won over 30 awards since its launch.

JSW MG Motor India has achieved its highest-ever monthly sales for the MG Windsor in July 2025, delivering 4,308 units. This marks the best performance since the model’s launch, taking cumulative sales in India to nearly 36,000 units.

The MG Windsor has dominated India’s four-wheeler electric vehicle (EV) segment for ten consecutive months. In Q2 CY’25, the company’s EV market share rose to 32%, up from 28% in the previous quarter. Average monthly sales grew by 17%, while EV wholesale volumes increased by 28% compared to Q1 2025.

Launched as India’s first Intelligent Compact Utility Vehicle (CUV), the Windsor has won over 30 awards, including the prestigious Green Car Award 2025 at the Indian Car of the Year (iCOTY). It is powered by a 100 kW (136 PS) electric motor producing 200 Nm of torque.

The Windsor features the ‘Aero Glide’ design language, a 15.6-inch GRANDVIEW Touch Display, and 135-degree reclining ‘Aero Lounge’ rear seating. Available under the Battery as a Service (BaaS) model, it is priced from ₹9.99 lakh, with battery usage costing ₹3.9 per km.

JSW MG Motor India Pvt. Ltd. was formed in 2023 as a joint venture between China’s SAIC Motor and India’s JSW Group. The partnership focuses on building a sustainable, tech-driven automotive ecosystem in India, with strong emphasis on local manufacturing and innovation.

Founded in the UK in 1924, MG has evolved from producing sports cars and convertibles to becoming a leader in electric and connected vehicles. Its Halol, Gujarat plant has an annual capacity of over 100,000 units and employs around 6,000 people directly and indirectly.

In India, MG has introduced several industry firsts, including the MG Hector (India’s first Internet SUV), ZS EV (India’s first mass-market electric SUV), Gloster (one of the first Level 1 autonomous SUVs), Astor (with personal AI assistant and Level 2 autonomy), Comet (urban electric car), and now the MG Windsor.
