JK Fenner Partners with Korea NMC Motors for E-Axle Tech
JK Fenner India Ltd has partnered with Korea-based NMC Motors to develop e-axle solutions for three-wheelers and small commercial vehicles, marking a strategic step in India's EV transition.

JK Fenner India Ltd, based in Chennai, has entered into a technical collaboration with Korean electric vehicle motor manufacturer NMC Motors to develop e-axle manufacturing capabilities. The agreement was signed during an event held in Chennai on Wednesday.

JK Fenner, a company known for its expertise in power transmission systems, fluid transfer systems, and sealing systems, now plans to set up a manufacturing facility for e-axles targeting the three-wheeler and small commercial vehicle segments. The collaboration may expand to include four-wheelers in the future.

As part of the agreement, JK Fenner will receive technical assistance from NMC Motors Korea in product development and manufacturing processes. The deal will also involve the transfer of Korean technology for e-axle production.

Company officials highlighted that JK Fenner is already active in the EV space through its transmission and sealing systems. The new alliance is expected to strengthen its position in the Indian EV market and enhance its global presence in the electric vehicle segment.

A company spokesperson expressed confidence in India’s EV growth trajectory and reiterated the company’s ambition to play a significant role in the nation’s electric mobility transformation.
