India’s Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, handed over 15 electric vehicles to Nepal Minister of Foreign Affairs, Arzu Rana Deuba. According to the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, this gesture is a gift from the Government of India to provide logistical support for the inaugural Sagarmatha Sambaad, themed “Climate Change, Mountains and the Future of Humanity,” to be held in Kathmandu.
These vehicles were handed over at the request of the Government of Nepal and will support the movement of guests and officials during the event. Ambassador Srivastava noted that the vehicles would enhance logistical efficiency and recalled similar assistance provided by India during Nepal’s federal and provincial elections in 2022.
The Indian Ambassador extended best wishes to the Government and people of Nepal and reaffirmed India’s ongoing commitment to mutual progress. Nepal’s Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for the support, recognizing India as one of Nepal’s oldest and largest development partners. This gesture further strengthens the deep people-to-people ties and multi-sectoral development partnership between the two nations.
