
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hafele India to bolster the manufacturing startup ecosystem in the country.
The partnership aims to support innovation and entrepreneurship by offering startups and MSMEs access to infrastructure, supplier development programs, technical expertise, and market linkages. Hafele India will also invest in product innovation and help integrate local startups into global value chains.
As part of the agreement, DPIIT will provide access to its Startup India ecosystem, enabling participating startups to connect with key stakeholders, engage in relevant programs, and benefit from co-branded initiatives.
Speaking at the signing, DPIIT Director Sumeet Kumar Jarangal said, "Through investments, mentorship, and ecosystem partnerships, we aim to empower startups that are building the next generation of globally competitive manufacturing capabilities."
Joint Secretary Sanjiv added that the collaboration would combine global best practices with Indian entrepreneurial spirit to drive sustainable manufacturing growth in line with the Make in India mission.
The MoU was formally signed by Jarangal and Frank Schloeder, Managing Director – South Asia, Hafele India.
