Ajoy Chawla to Succeed as Titan MD Starting January 2026

Titan Company Limited has named Ajoy Chawla as its next managing director, effective January 1, 2026, following the planned retirement of current managing director C K Venkataraman on December 31, 2025. The decision was approved by Titan’s board of directors at a meeting held on May 9 as per a social media handle.

"On behalf of the entire Titan team, I welcome Ajoy to lead Titan in its next phase of innovation and growth," said Titan's managing director C K Venkataraman as per social media update. "With his strong customer obsession, people orientation, partnering impulse and focus on creating value, Ajoy is well qualified to shepherd Titan towards even greater glory and scale."

Venkataraman, who joined the business in 1990 and took over as managing director on October 1, 2019. Chawla, presently chief executive officer of Titan’s jewellery division, began his journey with the company in 1991 through the Tata Administrative Services. 

Over the years, Chawla has held leadership roles across Titan’s watches division, strategy, and incubation businesses. As CEO of the jewellery division since 2019, Chawla has overseen a 2.5-fold growth in sales and profits while strengthening Titan’s position in the market.
