MAAC (Maya Academy of Advanced Creativity), premier institute and pioneer in high-end 3D Animation, Visual Effects (VFX), Gaming, Multimedia and Digital Content Creation training, and a training brand of Aptech Limited, has strengthened its presence in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region with the launch of a new state-of-the-art training centre in Thane. The centre was inaugurated in the presence of Sandip Weling, Whole-time Director & Chief Business Officer, Global Retail, Aptech Limited, Kallol Mukherjee, Executive Vice President and Business Head- MAAC, Abir Aich, Executive Vice President, Academics & Content M&E, Aptech Limited and Farrukh Khan, Senior Vice President – Strategic Initiatives, Aptech Limited.     

This new centre reinforces MAAC’s commitment to providing high-quality education in animation, gaming, graphic design, digital content creation, and multimedia technologies to students in Thane and nearby areas. Designed with state-of-the-art infrastructure, the facility offers access to advanced tools and software, along with features such as a chroma setup and a dedicated modern lab to support hands-on learning. Spanning 2,500 square feet, the centre is built to accommodate over 500 students at a time, creating a dynamic environment for aspiring creative professionals.

Thane and its surrounding regions have emerged as one of Maharashtra’s fastest-growing education and employment hubs, witnessing increasing demand for skilled professionals across animation, VFX, gaming, digital content creation, and design. The new MAAC centre aims to address this growing demand by providing students with access to career-focused training, industry-oriented curriculum and practical learning experiences aligned with the evolving needs of the AVGC-XR sector. As India’s AVGC-XR industry continues to expand, driven by the rapid adoption of digital entertainment, gaming, immersive technologies and AI-powered creative workflows, the need for job-ready creative talent has never been greater.
