With the new outlet, Burger King now operates across more than 140 cities in India, extending its reach across major metropolitan centres as well as emerging markets.

Burger King has reached a key milestone in its India expansion with the opening of its 600th restaurant at GTB Nagar in Delhi. The launch takes the brand’s Delhi NCR network to more than 100 restaurants and brings it back to the city where it started its India operations in 2014.

With the new outlet, Burger King now operates across more than 140 cities in India, extending its reach across major metropolitan centres as well as emerging markets. The brand’s growth strategy has centred on expanding its restaurant network, strengthening its supply chain, refining its menu and value proposition, and driving greater digital adoption. It has also expanded into the café segment through its BK Café business.

Located in GTB Nagar, the new restaurant serves Burger King’s core range, including the WHOPPER, burgers, wraps, snacks, desserts and beverages. The outlet strengthens the brand’s presence in a neighbourhood with a sizeable young consumer base and an established retail and foodservice market.

Rajeev Varman, Group CEO and Whole-Time Director, Restaurant Brands Asia, said, “Our 600th restaurant is a testament to the love and support we get from our guests, vendor partners and most importantly each and every one of our restaurant employees. I remain thankful to all of them for their invaluable contributions. Every new restaurant brings the brand closer to more guests, while enabling us to build greater relevance across markets and occasions. As we continue to scale, we are creating efficiencies that position the business for sustainable and responsible expansion and the next phase of our growth journey.”

Menu innovation has remained part of Burger King’s India growth strategy, with the brand introducing limited-period products and flavours tailored to local preferences. Its offerings have included Korean and Peri-Peri ranges, alongside its established portfolio of burgers, snacks, desserts and beverages.

The 600th restaurant marks another step in Burger King’s ongoing expansion in India, supported by a growing store network, digital ordering and formats designed to cater to different consumer occasions.
