A mechanical engineer from the College of Engineering, Trivandrum, Dr Pradeep Jeothi joined the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre where he served as a Space Scientist for 12 years. He has a MBA degree from Kerala University and got his doctorate degree in management from Colombo University. Also, he did an executive education programme on building a global enterprise from Harvard Business School.

Dr Jeothi joined his family business of Vasudeva Vilasam in 1996 after resigning from Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre. Established in 1884, Vasudeva Vilasam is one of the oldest, traditional and continuously functioning Ayurveda house in India. He's the sixth generation in the Ayurveda business. When he joined the business, Vasudeva Vilasam was then one entity with a small production unit attached to the Nursing Home, catering to local community in Trivandrum. He set up many Ayurveda clinics in different parts of Kerala. As the demand of our quality & genuine medicines increased, a most modern state of art 30000 sqft GMP & ISO certified manufacturing plant was established which manufactures 500 plus Ayurvedic products with over 40 patents. A few of the products have been formulated by Dr Jeothi himself. The group exports its products to over 20 countries.As the demand for more skilled labour for Ayurveda therapy increased, an Institute of Ayurveda was set up for training therapists, Ayurveda technicians as per the Skill development initiatives of government of India.The group also runs a few boutique hotels in the state of Kerala. With a pan India expansion, the group is setting up Ayurveda wellness centers, spas and saloons, academies and pharmacies under the brand 'Adara'.
