Entrepreneurship Speakers

Mr. Balachandar.R,
Founder & CEO - Laundry Project India Pvt Ltd

Mr. Balachandar completed his Masters in International Business from IIFT run program at PSG Tech Coimbatore, where he won the ’Academic Gold Medal‘ and also was adjudged the ’Best Outgoing student‘. Prior to co-founding TLP, he worked his way up the corporate ladder to become the Head of Retail for India’s truly international luxury brand Hidesign. With over 14 years of experience in retail, marketing, business development and fashion industry, he was also a key member in the brands footprint expansion from 20 POS to 200 POS in India.

The entrepreneurial bug bit him when he saw an opportunity to start a production and retail services company, Hnsworld, with a mind to market not only design but also the one that works with leading Indian and International brands. He has also been consulted for upcoming and successful brands on their retail expansion and strategy.

As a hobby, he enjoys sharing his experiences with students as guest faculty for marketing, branding, entrepreneurship at leading institutes like NIFT, PSG, Pearl Academy of Fashion etc. Apart from reading, his interests include travel, photography and music.

Wassup, their retail brand, is India’s first community-based laundry service with presence in three cities. Laundry project is a professional laundry service outsourcing company to service laundry requirements of leading hospitality clients, like Taj, Oberoi, Radisson, to name a few.

"The change begins with me."
"I am going to clean up politics."
"I am not looking for a job. I will create jobs."
"You see a challenge. I see opportunity."

National pride, or the spirit that binds us together as a
collective soul, does not have a permanent home in our
hearts and mind. For most of us it responds to the
stimulus of a cricket match, on national holidays or
situations of armed conflict. Most of the times we are
filled with mixed emotions.
