GoDaddy and Microsoft make it easier for small businesses to get online

GoDaddy, the world's largest technology provider dedicated to small businesses, today announced the release of 'Get Online Today' in collaboration with Microsoft to help SMBs and entrepreneurs get on the web easily and affordably.

Launched at Rs 99, the offer is designed to cater to the business and communication needs of SMBs, while making the business more discoverable, keeping the identity secured and enabling collaboration online. The combination of online applications and always-on customer support, gives small business owners what they need to start, maintain, and grow their online presence.

A Boston Consulting Group (BCG) study commissioned by Microsoft has found that there is a strong correlation between IT adoption and revenues SMBs generate. IT adoption opens up more opportunities than ever for SMBs and as per the report, IT-enabled SMBs in India identified as "technology leaders", grew revenues 20 percentage points faster as compared to SMBs that use less technology.

Moreover, consumers and businesses are increasingly using the Internet to search for products and services, making it appropriate for businesses of all sizes to be present online and secure their spot. In an endeavor to empower businesses across the country with technology, GoDaddy has worked with Microsoft and designed the Get Online Today offer.

"It is a challenge for small businesses to get off the ground in India. With 'Get Online Today', we believe that starting a business online provides the easiest and the most cost effective solution for any small business owner," said Rajiv Sodhi, Vice President and Managing Director, GoDaddy India. "We're pleased to partner with Microsoft to offer a solution that enables them to get online easily and affordably. It is our aim to equip small business owners with the right tools and solutions to establish an online presence, helping them reach more customers globally and operate 24/7."

In addition to accessing the complete Get Online package, customers will also have access to GoDaddy's 24/7 customer care to answer any questions or support they may need during set up and use.

"Office 365 is transformational for small businesses because it allows them to easily access the same powerful tools that large companies use at an affordable price" said Meetul Patel, General Manager, SMS&P, Microsoft India. "We look forward to continuing our partnership with GoDaddy to raise awareness of the value of being online, and to make it easier for small businesses to secure its benefits."
