How Women’s Health Is A Growing Concern In Today’s Wellness Industry

The wellness industry is constantly coming up with innovations, trying to modify their offerings and catering a healthier lifestyle. Establishment of a wellness program is one way of their experimental procedure.

Recently, the President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind addressed an International Conference on Women’s Health, Wellness, and Empowerment which was organized by the Federation of Obstetric and Gynecological Societies of India in Uttar Pradesh.

Providing Women The Freedom

The entire discussion revolved around offering daughters the freedom to venture out, exploring and finding their potential. He believed that this will make them soar high.

Shri Ram Nath Kovind said, “The social and economic gaps affect women much more than others. They have a particular impact on families and communities from weaker sections of society. It is with this in mind that the entire ecosystem of healthcare is being revitalized.”

Establishment Of Jan Aushadhi Kendras

The government of India has initiated several programs which carry the potential to nurture women’s health and wellness. More than 3,000 Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been opened till date, selling and distributing quality medicines at reduced prices.

Brands which are offering quality medicines at a low price can collaborate with the government, branding their company, extending their market reach aswell.

Currently, this scheme is benefiting fellow citizens belonging to low-income families. In addition, approximately 85 lakh expectant mothers and 3.25 crore children have been offered immunization cover under the program Mission Indradhanush.

Introduction Of Health Insurance Programs

The President of India focused on the Ayushmaan Bharat health insurance program which is catering to mothers and newborn babies. He said, “Ayushmaan Bharat health insurance is recently launched in India. Through the program, we are offering health coverage to socially and economically disadvantaged sections of our society.”

Under this program, 1.5 lakh Health and Wellness Centers are being established across the entire nation, offering services to mothers and newborn babies.
