VinFast Partners with Castrol India for Nationwide EV Service
VinFast Auto India has partnered with Castrol India to provide nationwide after-sales service for its EV customers, featuring certified technicians and VinFast-branded service bays.

VinFast Auto India has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Castrol India Limited to provide after-sales support for its electric vehicle (EV) customers nationwide. Through this partnership, VinFast will gain access to Castrol’s network of over 750 auto service outlets across more than 300 cities.

Under the agreement, participating Castrol workshops will feature VinFast-branded service bays staffed by certified EV technicians and stocked with genuine VinFast parts. VinFast will provide service manuals, diagnostic tools, training, and warranty processes, while Castrol will ensure that the workshops meet the required infrastructure and capability standards.

The Vietnamese automaker recently inaugurated its first overseas assembly facility in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, with an initial annual production capacity of 50,000 vehicles, scalable up to 150,000 units. The company has also partnered with dealer groups to establish 35 dealerships across 27 cities by the end of 2025.

Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, said the collaboration will ensure nationwide service access for customers. He added that the initiative aligns with both companies’ commitment to promoting sustainable mobility in India.

Rajeev Govil, Senior Vice President India B2B at Castrol India, highlighted that after-sales service will play a critical role in building customer confidence as the electric mobility sector grows. He noted that the company’s experience in servicing conventional vehicles will support this effort.

VinFast recently launched two electric SUV models in India, the VF 6 and VF 7. The company is a subsidiary of Vingroup JSC, one of Vietnam’s largest conglomerates, and manufactures only electric vehicles. Castrol India Limited, part of the bp group, has been operating in India for 115 years and has a distribution network reaching over 150,000 retail outlets nationwide.
