
Argentine lifestyle brand La Martina has officially opened its flagship store in Mumbai, marking a significant milestone in its expansion into the Indian luxury market. Located on the second floor of Palladium Mall, the 1,200-square-foot space offers a rich sensory experience inspired by the traditions of polo and Argentine craftsmanship.
The new store, which opened on May 4, is a visual tribute to the brand’s equestrian roots, blending rustic elegance with modern sophistication. Design elements—including saddle leather, brushed brass, and wood—evoke the tactile beauty of polo equipment, while the layout mirrors the flow and discipline of a polo match. Created by 02JUNE Design Studios + Few Steps Ahead, the interiors draw influence from traditional Argentine estancias and classic polo clubs, seamlessly merging heritage with modern retail aesthetics.
“Mumbai is a city of contrasts, much like Buenos Aires,” said Adrian Simonetti, Co-founder and President of La Martina. “This store is not just a retail space—it’s a bridge between two historic polo cultures. India, where polo first took root, is a natural fit for our brand’s soul.”
Sankalp Sahu, the store’s lead designer, emphasized that every detail was curated to honor La Martina’s legacy while resonating with Indian sophistication.
