In a major push to enhance its delivery capabilities ahead of Prime Day 2025, Amazon India has launched five new fulfilment centres (FCs) across the country. The latest additions mark Amazon's first-ever FCs in Indore, Bhubaneshwar, Kochi, and Rajpura, along with a new centre in Delhi-NCR.
With a combined storage capacity exceeding 1.8 million cubic feet — roughly equivalent to 10 cricket grounds — the new facilities are set to significantly improve delivery speeds and customer experience. The FCs are fully operational ahead of Prime Day, scheduled for July 12–14, and are expected to create thousands of new local job opportunities.
“These five new fulfilment centres represent a significant investment in our operations infrastructure and demonstrate our commitment to our customers and sellers across India,” said Abhinav Singh, Vice President of Operations, Amazon India & Australia. “We are focused on building India’s fastest, safest, and most reliable logistics network.”
The new centres will be operated in collaboration with leading logistics partners and will enable sellers to store products closer to customers, helping reduce delivery times and meet growing demand. The expansion is part of Amazon’s broader goal to invest over $233 million in its Indian operations in 2025.
In addition to improving logistics, Amazon sees the new FCs as a boost for regional economic development, offering both full-time and part-time job roles across its operations.
With Prime Day around the corner, Amazon Prime members can expect faster deliveries, with lakhs of items eligible for same-day or next-day delivery — reinforcing the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction and speed.
