?Italian clothing company Benetton has promoted Sundeep Chugh as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its Indian operations. Chugh has been Commercial Director of Benetton India since 2011 before his portfolio was raised.
He has been working on brands such as the United Colors of Benetton, Sisley and Undercolors. Prior to joining Benetton, Chugh worked at a senior level for several MNCs like Adidas, where he was Sales Director. In LG Electronics, Chugh worked from 1997 to 2008, and focused on developing the Indian sales network.
In November last year, Benetton’s CEO Sanjeev Mohanty had quit the group to join online fashion retailer Jabong as CEO and MD. During the period till now, Benetton's International Business Director Michel Lhotse had been the acting CEO for the company. The fashion group is present in the most important markets with some 5,000 stores in the world.
