MilkyWay to expand via franchising

MilkyWay, a Chennai-based ice cream parlor is seeking expansion pan India. The company has recently been associated with Francorp for its expansion via franchise route. Francorp is a part of Franchise India Group.

Bhushan Goyal, Proprietor, Chanda Softy Ice Creams (MilkyWay) said: “We intend to take the experience of freshly made ice creams all over India and abroad. We plan on being an ideal ice cream destination for all.” The company plans to open as many outlets as possible in the next three years.

Francorp will be supporting MilkyWay by organising the company’s franchise idea, evaluation and framework expansion; the economics and management of its franchise network; guidelines for franchise systems and manuals; marketing strategies and franchisee employment course; performance management and reporting system; franchisee revenue model and fees organisation and lastly preparing legal agreements.

MilkyWay manufacturing unit is located in Chennai and manufactures 300 varieties of softy ice creams and thick milk shakes with world-class Italian machines. Some of MilkyWay’s delicacies include cream soda pops, waffle cones, jello sundaes, soft fantasies, thick and creamy milk shakes and a whole gamut of specialty sundaes. MilkyWay Ice cream parlours are now open in different malls in Chennai. Currently, it has operations in eight locations and will shortly be opening in Siruseri and Bengaluru.
