Gitanjali Gems, a jewellery retailer in India is planning to open 50 stores under its multi-brand jewellery layout Jewel Souk. The company has already opened 17 shop-in-shops and company-owned stores across the country. The new outlets that are scheduled to open will also contain a few franchisee owned stores as well.
Presently, Gitanjali has existence in 210 company owned, 255 franchises and 520 shop-in-shop stores in India. It has extra points of sale through retailers. The group operates brands like Gili, Nakshatra, Asmi, D'Damas, G Divas and G Solitaire in India. It has also recently acquired four Italian brands, Stefan Hafner, La Nouvelle Bague, IO SI, Poratti.
