Entry opens for ISPA 2015 Mary Tabacchi Scholarship for spa management, related courses

Students looking for scholarship to pursue international spa management, leadership or entrepreneurship-related career, may seek help of the International SPA Association (ISPA) Foundation and a wealth of donations.

The scholarship is made possible with the help ISPA and applications are now being accepted for its 2015 Mary Tabacchi Scholarship programme.

Commenting on the same, Lynne McNees, President, ISPA said, “ISPA trusts this scholarship will continue to encourage and inspire those joining the spa profession.”

Created in 2006, the Mary Tabacchi Scholarship is named in honour of industry pioneer and Cornell University Associate Professor Mary H. Tabacchi.

The 2015 Mary Tabacchi Scholarship recipient will receives a $5,000 scholarship for tuition reimbursement, along with a complimentary registration and travel expense stipend for the 2015 ISPA Conference & Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada scheduled on October 19-21, 2015. Moreover, the winner will also get a one-year mentorship from the Mary Tabacchi Scholarship Selection Committee and a complimentary one-year ISPA Student Membership.

“This is one of the best awards that ISPA gives, as it is a promise for the future of the spa industry,” said Tabacchi. “The more we put into the future through eager, young, hardworking students, the greater the chance that our industry will remain healthy through growth and innovation.”

Voicing the same, McNees added, “This award, now in its ninth year, has fostered the growth of future leaders.”

Reportedly, the scholarship will be awarded to a junior, senior or graduate student enrolled full-time in a bachelor's or master's programme.

The scholarship applications will be accepted till April 30, 2015.
