
With an aim to spread network of its diabetes care programme, healthcare major Apollo Hospital has announced its plan to open 500 sugar clinics across India.
Confirming the news, Gagan Bhalla, Chief Executive Officer, Apollo Sugar told PTI, "We plan to open 500 Apollo Sugar Clinics across the country and outside by the end of 2019. We will be having 50 clinics in the country by the end of this year.”
Currently, the company has its sugar clinics in Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Indore, Karimnagar, Pune, Kakinada, Nashik, Tiruchirappalli, Raipur, Bilaspur, Bhubaneshwar, Mysore, Visakhapatnam and Madurai.
Nevertheless, the healthcare provider is mulling expansion outside India in the West Asian countries, confirmed Bhalla.
Apollo Sugar is part of Apollo Health & Lifestyle, the arm of Apollo that is primarily into healthcare.
