Timed to coincide with the upcoming theatrical release of the film, the new summer collection is targeted at children, teens, and young adults, blending tropical motifs with Disney’s iconic storytelling aesthetic.

Max Fashion has unveiled its latest character-inspired apparel line in collaboration with Disney, featuring designs themed around the animated classic Lilo & Stitch. Timed to coincide with the upcoming theatrical release of the film, the new summer collection is targeted at children, teens, and young adults, blending tropical motifs with Disney’s iconic storytelling aesthetic.

This launch marks the ninth collaboration between Max Fashion and Disney. The two brands have previously partnered on successful collections inspired by The Jungle Book, Disney Princesses, Star Wars, and Guardians of the Galaxy, among others — reinforcing a long-standing licensing relationship centered on pop culture and youth appeal.

“After so many creative projects together, our work with Disney has evolved beyond a typical brand partnership — it’s become a collaborative relationship rooted in shared vision,” said Sumit Chandna, Deputy CEO, Max Fashion. “By drawing from cult classics like Lilo & Stitch, we’re able to build strong emotional connections with younger audiences through design.”

The collection debuted on May 24 at a launch event held at Megumi, Mumbai. The showcase featured an interactive runway presentation led by mom influencers and their children, highlighting the collection’s playful and summer-ready aesthetic. Actress Bipasha Basu appeared as the showstopper, adding celebrity appeal to the unveiling.

The collection features a vibrant color palette — including sunset oranges, sea blues, leafy greens, and soft pastels — and includes bold prints, character-driven motifs, and relaxed silhouettes designed to suit everyday wear.

“The use of licensed merchandise plays a significant role in expanding audience engagement for both partners,” said Priya Nijhara, Director of Disney Consumer Products, The Walt Disney Company India. “This collaboration is a strong example of how shared storytelling and consumer alignment can create impactful retail experiences.”

The Lilo & Stitch x Max Fashion collection is now available at over 520 Max stores across India and through the brand’s official online platform, maxfashion.com. The release reinforces Max Fashion’s broader strategy of integrating entertainment IP into mainstream retail to capture youth and family segments.
