Global fitness giant Anytime Fitness has strengthened its presence in South India with the launch of its first club in Karnataka, opening doors in Bengaluru’s J.P. Nagar locality. The move signals the brand’s growing focus on high-potential urban markets as it continues its rapid expansion across India.
The Bengaluru facility is operated by franchise partners Ritik Nagar and Manisha Nagar, young entrepreneurs who aim to elevate the city’s fitness landscape. Designed to deliver a premium workout experience, the club offers modern cardio and strength equipment, functional training areas, certified personal trainers, group workout sessions, and 24×7 access for members.
Commenting on the launch, Vikas Jain, Managing Director of Anytime Fitness India, said Bengaluru’s strong wellness culture, corporate population, and youthful demographic make it a natural choice for expansion. He added that the J.P. Nagar opening marks the start of a broader growth strategy for Karnataka, with more clubs planned across the state.
Franchise owners Ritik Nagar and Manisha Nagar described the venture as both a business achievement and a community-focused initiative. They emphasized their commitment to creating an inclusive, motivating, and safe environment where individuals of all fitness levels can pursue healthier lifestyles with professional support.
Members of the new club will also benefit from Anytime Fitness’ global access model, allowing them to work out at any of the brand’s locations worldwide. Strict safety and hygiene standards, a hallmark of the brand, have been incorporated into the facility’s operations.
Since entering India in 2013, Anytime Fitness has grown to more than 175 clubs nationwide. Alongside physical expansion, the brand has built a strong fitness community through events such as FitCraft and Be Fit Fest. With new openings planned across multiple cities, the company aims to reach 500 clubs in India over the next five years.
