Following the strategy to expand its footprints, Sesame Street, an American preschool educator, launched two more preschools at Sarjapur Road and Kaggadaspura in Bengaluru. The preschool chain has child-centered, pre-primary education centres that were set up by Sesame Workshop in India in the year 2012. It offers innovative programmes for children aged 1-6 years to engage and learn. Sesame Street Preschools already has two preschools in Bengaluru.
Sesame Street Preschools boasts to offer a curriculum to instill the skills of ideation, confidence, communication and collaboration – skills that are needed not just for school but for life. The pre-school chain is currently present across 10 cities in India including Delhi, Ghaziabad, Dehradun, Alwar, Patna, Meerut, Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Pune and Udaipur offering preschool programmes as well as after school programmes inculcating critical thinking, communication and collaboration skills. Few Sesame Street Preschools also provide extended day care facilities which help in the child’s social and emotional growth in a fun filled and supervised environment.
The preschool is a venture of Sesame Schoolhouse, the latest educational initiative from Sesame Workshop, one of the largest non-profit informal educational organisations in the world who also produce the world acclaimed children’s educational television show, Sesame Street. Sesame Workshop is present in over a 150 countries and produces educational content across television, radio, mobile, tablets and print. Sesame Workshop has been present in India since 2006, through its television show, Galli Galli Sim Sim.
