Vogue Eyewear launches Texture Collection; brining home international trends

Bringing local trend on vogue, the new collection of Vogue Eyewear is endorsed by its official brand ambassador & Bollywood Diva Deepika Padukone.

With an aim to surprise Indian consumers with on-vogue range of glasses, the brand has recently launched Texture Collection of Vogue Eyewear for Indian consumers.

Continuing with Bollywood Diva Deepika Padukone on board as its brand ambassador, Vogue Eyewear collection is inspired by the local traditions of India, Brazil and China, keeping intact the need to protect eyes from growing pollution in the country. To elaborate more about the newly launched collection, how it may help consumers maintain wellness of the eyes by using glasses and much, Smita Singla, Senior Brand Manager, Vogue Eyewear spoke to Wellness India.

How Indian women view eyewear with the wellness sense?
Even when people don’t have weak eyesight, both doctors and ophthalmologists advise them to wear glasses with zero power to avert radiations from computer screen. It is crucial to wear sunglasses before one steps out in the sun, but people really don’t do that pro-actively. Slowly everyone is becoming conscious of the hazardous effects of UV Rays.

What is the inspiration being new Vogue eyewear collection?
The latest Texture collection is inspired by our muse Deepika Padukone, the inside of the temple is decorated with textures and intricate filigree of henna patterns. It also states “Inspired by Deepika Padukone”.
This collection is also complemented with a Brazilian twist and Chinese tradition drawing inspiration from Adrianna Lima and Liu Shishi.
  In addition we study latest spring summer and fall winter trends across leading fashion weeks like London, Milan, New York and absorb those trend forecasts in our collections. Vogue eye wear is for women around the world, each with their own sense of style and fashion.

What are the features of Texture Collection?
Vogue Eyewear Texture collection is a new design concept which combines the rich heritage of Indian tradition withglobal fashion. The collection is for today’s modern young woman who likes to experiment with fashion and give it her own personal touch as well. 

How Indian women are evolving to spend on eyewear?
With rising disposable income,there is an increase in the purchasing power. Today’s consumer doesn’t hesitate to spend on a fashion accessory that completes her look. These days’ women love to play with trends and experiment with fashion. 

How Deepika exemplifies the essence of the Vogue eyewear?
Deepika has been the face of the brand for three years now and we are happy to have her on board. Deepika symbolizes everything that the brand stands for. She is known for her sense of style so we have dressed the Texture collection with her touch. Her sensualbeauty, playful personality and timeless elegance are the true attributes of a Vogue Eyewear woman. 

What is a ratio of your sale from metros and towns?
Metros along with tier II markets are equally important for us.

What is your target consumer group?
We target women in the age group of 18 to 35, this could be college going girls, early jobbers, working women in their late 20s as well as housewives - essentially every woman with a keen sense of fashion.

What is a price range of the collection?
Vogue Eyewear connotes accessible fashion. It starts at Rs. 2, 990 and the average price of the collection is around Rs. 4,500.
